Ahh, the elementary school days, and honestly even now. The GameCube is awesome, probably the most efficient and convenient console system ever. Small and portable for a gaming console, I remember the family parties I used to go and all the kids would get around the big screen and play GameCube. The most popular game that we played was without a doubt "Super Smash Bros. Melee", a game that I still play today. What made the Gamecube one of the important gaming systems in my life is that the GameCube essentially introduced me to TV console gaming. It was also so popular in elementary school and taught me the basics behind the love for video games. I still have my GameCube set up back home, and I have friends here that I play it with occasionally still. Culturally, people across the world still enjoy the GameCube for its simplicity and the massively popular "Super Smash Bros. Melee". Like the Xbox, the GameCube provided the social scene for me in my life at one point. It is an incredibly fun and easy system to play on, and that is probably what made this system so universally popular. The GameCube is without a doubt the first major gaming system in my life and is the gateway that introduced me to other forms of gaming entertainment. The GameCube represents a part of my life in my childhood.
